THE BRIEF

CardCon Expo had an active group of attendees in the credit card industry but lacked a strong, unified social identity and digital ecosystem. The team needed a refreshed brand look, consistent multi‑platform daily posting, improved email marketing, and better conference sponsorship outcomes. I partnered to craft a refreshed identity, manage their social presence across four platforms, and drive content that increased visibility and bookings.

THE APPROACH

I started with the brand refresh—creating modern visuals that match the finance/credit‑card media world. Then I built daily social content workflows (posts, live tweeting, engagement) and an email‑marketing strategy to support audience growth and conference sponsorships. I also aligned all content with the conference’s rotating‑location model, making sure the brand felt fresh each year while staying strategically cohesive.

KEY DELIVERABLES

Brand Identity & Visual Toolkit: Developed a refreshed brand identity and graphic system that aligned with CardCon’s vision and made the conference feel modern and relevant.  

Social Media Management: Managed daily engagement on four social platforms, and live‑tweeted during the conference—resulting in a 180% increase in overall impressions from the previous year.  

Email Marketing & Audience Growth: Grew the email marketing list by 150 subscribers to 430 total, achieving an average open rate of 35% (versus typical 21.2% benchmark for finance).  

Revenue & Sponsorship Strategy: Targeted a new sponsorship audience and helped increase profits by 20% over previous conferences.
