Shaping a student publication’s visual identity and creative direction
As the inaugural Graphic Design Director for the Athens branch of Strike Magazine, I led a team of 14 assistants to design layouts, manage social-graphics, print production and editorial art direction—ensuring the publication built visual relevance in culture, fashion and art.
GRAPHIC DESIGN PRINT DESIGN LEADERSHIP

I was hired as Strike Magazine Athens' inaugural Graphic Design Director to define and execute their brand’s look for print, digital, and social—supporting high-profile partnerships, merch drops and editorial campaigns. The goal: elevate aesthetic quality, streamline design workflows, and build a creative hub within the university context.

I built a structured design process: weekly delegation of layout tasks to a 14-person assistant team, clear creative direction for both print and digital deliverables, and an aesthetic rooted in bold culture/fashion narratives. For special features like “Tunnel Vision” I infused thematic inspiration (post-pandemic screen time, youth experience) and aligned it across photography, layout and typography.
Creative Leadership: Led a team of 14 assistants handling graphic and layout work for social media, print and web.
Print & Digital Layouts: Designed the full layout system for the magazine’s Athens branch—cover to spread, social graphics, and flyer designs.
Editorial Feature Direction: Directed the “Tunnel Vision” photoshoot and contributed to creative concept development themed around post-pandemic screen time and young adult media consumption.
Partnership & Merch Design: Designed the inaugural merch line for Strike Athens and supported the brand’s first collaboration with Rowdy Magazine.
Social & Print Collateral: Developed a library of graphics for flyers, social posts, layout templates to boost Athen’s branch visibility and growth.
